The founding members of EECA have collectively worked with developmentally delayed children for more than 15 years. More than 8 of those years were spent under the direct supervision of Dr. Ivar Lovaas and involved extensive training in case supervision, behavior management, treatment, research, and one-to-one therapy. All of our consultants have been extensively trained and employed by the UCLA Clinic for the Behavioral Treatment of Children and at the Lovaas Institute for Early Intervention. Each consultant has worked under the direct supervision of Dr. Lovaas for a minimum of three years. Behavior Tutors (Skills Trainers) at EECA are chosen based on their love for children and their ability to play & work with them. Each behavioral tutor receives mandatory state and federal background checks and in depth 40-60 hours of training. On-going education and supervision are provided to tutors to ensure the highest quality of service for your child.
