Infant Programs:
Children 0-3 years of age who may be at risk or may be diagnosed with autism. Age appropriate individualized programs are designed for each child to target problem areas.
Early Intervention Programs:
Children 3-14 years of age. Individualized programs are designed for each child to target deficits in language, academics, self-care, socialization and motor skills. Excess behaviors are addressed such as tantrums, non-compliance and self-stimulatory behaviors.
Social Skills Groups:
Designed to target specific social needs.
Parent Training:
Teaching parents how to identify their child's problem behaviors and address them appropriately.
Discreet Trial Training (DTT):
Method involves separating tasks into simple elements and teaching the child through repetition.
Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS):
Developed by Andrew Bondy, Ph.D. and Lori Frost, M.S., SLP. PECS is an augmentative communication system which teaches children with autism to exchange a picture for a desired item. Then the child is given the desired item immediately. Thus, creating an environment for communication initiation.
Relational Developmental Intervention (RDI):
Based on the model of "Experience Sharing" by Steven Gutstein, Ph.D. This method derives from the way typical children become competent in the world of emotional relationships.
